SUCCESS STORY

CHRIS 180 Graduate Takes Another Step Forward

Levi has been a part of the CHRIS 180 family since 2013 and shared his deeply personal story of his time in foster care at the 2018 CHRIStal Ball. Before coming to live in one of CHRIS 180's foster homes, Levi was moved between different homes, psychiatric care and juvenile detention. When he came to CHRIS 180, he found the support and safety he needed to move forward.

When Levi enrolled in college, he told CHRIS 180, “I want to make the Dean’s List and graduate at the top of my class. I can see myself motivating others like me in the future.” The CHRIS 180 team continued to support him through college and provide him with housing during school breaks, as well as when his dorm was closed because of the pandemic.

We are so proud to share that this year, Levi graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Social Work and minor in criminal justice from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University. Soon, he will be departing for grad schoo l at the University of Pittsburgh.

The entire CHRIS 180 family is thrilled to celebrate the young people we serve who – like Levi—are graduating to the next chapter and changing the directions of their lives.
