In addition to professional development, Together Georgia provides members with the ability to network and advocate with other child and family service providers throughout the year.

New Provider Orientation: November 18, 2025

New Provider Orientation is for those who are interested in opening a group home providing 24 hour residential care to children or starting a foster care agency--this orientation is not for day care providers. This orientation will cover the current status of child welfare, opportunities for serving children and alternatives to group care. Trauma-Informed Training Day

Together for Georgia's Children Foundation, the Braves Foundation
Join Together Georgia for a day of learning with national expert Becky Haas, featuring a keynote and interactive training on trauma, ACEs, resilience, and trauma-informed practices. Parking, lunch, and refreshments will be provided. Due to high-demand, capacity is limited to 2 individuals per organization. Becky Haas is a nationally recognized facilitator who trains communities on building trauma-informed, resilience-centered agencies and systems. Becky's facilitation will include a 75 minute keynote "Creating Trauma Informed Healing Communities" and a 3.5 hour training "Basics of Trauma, ACEs, Resilience, and Using a Trauma Informed Approach." Parking instructions and logistical information will be sent to attendees in advance of the meeting. This training is being hosted by the Braves Foundation and sponsored by the Together for Georgia's Children Foundation. Email [email protected] for registration information.

Better Together: Macon Regional Meeting

This will be a day of learning, collaborating, and networking with other providers, county agency staff, judges, legislators, and various community partners. There will be robust discussions around the challenges and opportunities you face in your area, and our goal is for you to leave with new connections and resources for the children and families you serve. We are hosting these meetings in partnership with GPHSA and DHS.

The Georgia Conference on Children and Families (GCCF) is the largest annual interdisciplinary event in Georgia designed to bring together the community that serves children and families. GCCF 2025 will feature specialized tracks, training and continuing educational opportunities, and keynote speakers with the goal of improving outcomes for the children and families that we serve.

 

This year’s theme is “Partnerships in Action: Building Stronger Communities for Children and Families” : This theme highlights the tangible actions taken through partnerships to strengthen communities and support the well-being of children and families. It emphasizes the role of collaboration in addressing complex needs, ultimately aiming to create more resilient and supportive communities.

GCCF Participants represent the full spectrum of disciplines and organizations serving Georgia’s children and families which includes child advocacy, juvenile justice, social service, behavioral health, education, legal counsel and the faith-based community. The conference provides a forum to improve competencies, learn from experts in the field and network with other professionals who have a wealth of experience.
