Elks Aidmore, Inc. is seeking to fill the position of Chief Operations Officer
The Chief Operations Officer must be a leader and forward thinker with the social and emotional intelligence necessary to build positive working relationships with a variety of diverse stakeholders, externally and internally. The Chief Operations Officer must be analytical, organized, data oriented and able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

The Chief Operations Officer is responsible for leading the organization’s residential programs and therapeutic foster care programs. The COO reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and functions as a collaborative partner with other departmental leaders and represents Elks Aidmore to the public as requested. The COO will establish and maintain positive working relationships with the Office of Provider Management, State Division of Family and Children Services, and community partners on behalf of Elks Aidmore.

The COO must be knowledgeable about child development, trauma informed care, child and family welfare, compliance, and auditing guidelines. The COO must understand grant reporting, data collection, and lead efforts working with grant writers to secure funding to support service delivery for the benefit of the residents in care. Knowledge of budgets and managing and developing employees is critical. The ideal candidate will be an active peer reviewer for the Council on Accreditation or possess the knowledge, skills, and interest in becoming a peer reviewer.

Preference will be given to a candidate with a Master’s degree in the field of social work, professional counseling, psychology, or a related field. At least 10 years of management experience, and knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed services. Candidates must possess a high level of interpersonal and written communication skills; be knowledgeable about the Georgia Department of Human Services rules and regulations for residential and therapeutic foster care, the Office of Provider Management minimum standards for residential and therapeutic foster care and Council on Accreditation standards related to residential and therapeutic foster care; and have experiential knowledge of management information systems such as GAScore, SHINES and Kaliedacare (Solutions 7) and extendedReach.
