Location: Administrative office, with an active presence across all Wellspring Living locations

Position Summary: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for the leadership and oversight of Wellspring Living’s business strategy, planning, and financial functions. The CFO will provide financial and accounting management to effectively execute our mission, vision and strategic plan. The CFO will also provide financial advice and accountability that will help to grow and expand our capacity to provide high-quality care to our participants. In addition to comprehensive financial oversight, the CFO will work closely with the Executive Director to ensure strong stewardship of resources.

Core Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
∙ Provide strategic, restorative leadership, support, and supervision to our Director of Operations, Controller, and Accounting and Data Manager.
∙ Promote high-quality and transparent processes and procedures that support the business operations of the organization; prepare and submit annual operational budget, manage effectively within this budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered
∙ Build sustainable and reliable partnerships, funding, and operating models for Wellspring Living including pro bono advisors, consultants, and auditors
∙ Regularly engaging with the board finance committee to ensure comprehensive, accurate, current corporate governance and documentation; Prepare and present to the board and other stakeholders (as appropriate) all financial documents and reports including balance sheets, income statements, tax returns, and audits; provide regular updates to organization leadership
∙ Manage forecasting, cash flow, and investments; Ensure continued financial viability of Wellspring Living’s operational units through sound fiscal management
∙ Provide oversight, advice, problem-solving and extensive planning for annual budgeting process, grant support and any organizational projects/initiatives impacting the business of the organization; Work with Vision Team to create operating budgets and manage results to achieve financial objectives
∙ Create, review, and use data for the organization to inform business decisions; ensure compliance with best practices
∙ Develop and maintain financial management reporting systems; oversee and support risk management programs that could impact business operations
∙ Serve as an authorized signer and representative for the organization on legal documents, contracts, etc.; Responsible for ownership and execution of contracts, MOUs, corporate documents and record requests

Professional Qualifications:
∙ Administrative, organizational, and computer skills including use of email and Microsoft Office suite of products
∙ Documentation of references (at least two professional and one personal) that attest to the person’s capability of performing the duties of the position and to the person’s suitability of working with or around children and vulnerable populations
∙ Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance, Business Administration or related field; Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
∙ 5+ years of relevant, progressive experience, including demonstrated success in financial management preferred
∙ Demonstrated success in leading and managing a team with a commitment to holding high expectations while also providing high levels of support
∙ Courageous leadership and high emotional intelligence to navigate successfully as an influencer for the greater good with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
∙ Acumen to embrace complexity and ambiguity while also maintaining accountability and perseverance through resolution
∙ Strong project management experience; ability to effectively manage several work projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

Position Requirements:
∙ Regular rotation among Wellspring Living locations, and occasional travel to other locations as needed in Metro Atlanta or beyond
∙ Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds and work for long periods at a computer
∙ Satisfactory criminal history background check
∙ Clean Motor Vehicle Record
