The Methodist Home provides multi-faceted residential care to address the needs of abused, neglected and abandoned children across the state of Georgia. The Methodist Home is a faith-based organization who works to equip at-risk youth and families for the future. The Methodist Home is currently seeking to fill a Full Time Building Maintenance Technician position. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safety and general upkeep of the buildings and vehicles of the Organization.
Duties will include, but are not limited to, the general upkeep of facilities, minor carpentry, electrical work, appliance repair work, minor plumbing repair work, and other duties as needed. The position also requires a high level of energy, motivation, and flexibility as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
This position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and experience in building maintenance.

Required Safety/Background Checks: All applicants must consent, and receive clearance from the following local, state and national agencies: Bibb County Sheriff's Department
Department of Human Services (fingerprint required)
Motor Vehicle Record (must have a valid license for four consecutive years and applicant/driving record must be approved by our insurance carrier)
Child Abuse Registry, Department of Corrections, Pardons and Parole, Sex Offenders Registry, Medicaid Fraud
All employees must also pass a pre-employment physical, ten panel drug screen and TB skin test.
