Clerical Staff

Nature of Work

The Clerical Staff will perform a variety of complex, responsible, and confidential secretarial and administrative duties, requiring knowledge of organizational and programs procedures. Provides clerical assistance to Office Manager/HR Liaison and Finance, and performs related work as required. This position requires some physical functions that are considered essential to the satisfactory performance of the outlined job responsibilities, i.e., sitting, standing, walking, speaking, and hearing. The Administrative Assistant must be able to serve as a positive role model for the individuals, staff and agency. Reports to the Office Manager.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Must be tactful and courteous. Report to Creative Community Services (CCS) office Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
Develops respectful relationships with others
Provides accurate, pertinent, and timely information
Prepares and edits correspondence, communications, reports, agendas, and other documents via utilization of the appropriate Microsoft office tools
Performs various administrative tasks and special projects, as required and assigned
Oversees proper personnel record keeping and reporting, including activities and events conducted and problems/issues
Assists with coverage for receptionist for lunch, breaks and time off
Assists program staff with needs that arises
Any other duties as assigned.

Employment Standards

Performing responsible secretarial and clerical work requiring independent judgment with accuracy; learning, interpreting, and applying organizational policies, rules and regulations. The Clerical Staff must be able to work with a minimum of direct supervision. Must be able to meet the public tactfully and courteously and answer questions in person and over the telephone; communicating effectively with all segments of the community.

Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to sufficient formal or informal education to assure the ability to write, read, and communicate effectively. Must maintain the confidentiality of all correspondences and communications as related to Creative Community Services, Inc.
