Partnerships in Action: the Georgia Conference on Children and Families 2025

The Georgia Conference on Children and Families (GCCF) is the largest annual interdisciplinary event in Georgia designed to bring together the community that serves children and families. GCCF 2025 will feature specialized tracks, training and continuing educational opportunities, and keynote speakers with the goal of improving outcomes for the children and families that we serve. GCCF Participants represent the full spectrum of disciplines and organizations serving Georgia’s children and families which includes child advocacy, juvenile justice, social service, behavioral health, education, legal counsel and the faith-based community. The conference provides a forum to improve competencies, learn from experts in the field and network with other professionals who have a wealth of experience.
This year's theme is "Partnerships in Action: Building Stronger Communities for Children and Families" : This theme highlights the tangible actions taken through partnerships to strengthen communities and support the well-being of children and families. It emphasizes the role of collaboration in addressing complex needs, ultimately aiming to create more resilient and supportive communities.
Focus Areas:
- Collaborative Systems and Community Partnerships: Focus on cross-sector collaboration among child welfare, behavioral health, juvenile justice, education, health, philanthropy, and community-based organizations to improve outcomes for children and families.
- Strengthening and Supporting Children and Families: Explore programs and practices that promote well-being, permanency, and resilience for children in care, youth transitioning out, kinship caregivers, and birth families.
- Lived Experience and Community-Driven Solutions: Center youth, family, and caregiver voices in co-designing services, informing policy, and leading change at the local and state levels.
- Workforce Development and Sustainable Change: Highlight strategies to train, support, and retain a trauma-informed workforce while building sustainable systems through policy, advocacy, and funding innovation.
