ANNOUNCEMENT

Vickey Hale Named CEO-Designate of Elks Aidmore, Inc.

On Saturday, August 21st, the Elks Aidmore Board of Trustees unanimously approved the selection of Chief Operations Officer Vickey Hale as the CEO-Designate for Elks Aidmore. Vickey will assume the position upon the retirement of current CEO Abe Wilkinson in July 2022.

“Transitioning into the CEO role allows me to continue serving the children, youth, and families that we work with daily and provide guidance to some phenomenal staff doing amazing work with the kids on our campus and in our foster homes,” says Vickey Hale. “Transitioning into this role will also allow me to continue strengthening our partnership with other agencies and community stakeholders. Abe will be missed. We have worked together for 28 years, and I have grown tremendously under his leadership. Our program and services are much stronger because of his grit and determination. I am indeed most excited about the ability to continue providing leadership to this great organization.”

“There could not have been a better choice to become the next CEO of Elks Aidmore,” says Abe Wilkinson. “Vickey and I have worked together over the past 28 years. She worked in various positions in the agency before being named Chief Operations Officer in 2015, a testimony to her passion and dedication to the children and families we serve. While working full-time, she obtained her MSW and her Doctor of Philosophy in Social Work Policy Planning and Administration…another witness to her hard work and perseverance. Low staff turnover, high staff morale, and positive client outcomes are due to her communication skills, strength-based problem solving and family-focused approach. Vickey will, no doubt, maintain the integrity of the program services, nurture the agency culture, and contribute to the continued expansion of Elks Aidmore in meeting the needs of Georgia’s children and families.”
